Vision: To invite youth, ages 11-14, into a real, loving and thriving relationship with Jesus Christ.To provide a safe place for them to engage with adult leaders that help them to affirm their faith in Christ. To discover their God given talents and provide opportunities for them to use them for the Lord’s service.
We do the above through: The teaching of the scriptures and cultivating a community where youth are encouraged to independently investigate the Bible, pray, ask questions and have meaningful conversations with adult believers throughout the week.
Youth are encouraged to volunteer once a month alongside adults in various areas of the church to discover passion and cultivate a heart for service inside and outside the church.
Streetlight Middle School Leaders show up on scheduled Sundays at 10:10 am for set up. Occasionally leaders will be asked to come at 9:45 am to help prepare and serve a light breakfast at 10:00 am for any children that come early.
Lessons will be provided no later than Friday afternoon to give ample time to study, pray and prepare. We ask that leaders read through extra materials given to ensure they are aware of all the games, activities and snacks before class begins. All materials will be provided for the lesson. Leaders are permitted to provide their own games, activities and snacks for class as long as this is communicated in advance with the Youth Leader.
