In all we do, whether in outreach to the streets, neighborhood, or city of Akron, whether in raising funds for the needs of individuals and families, or in creating myriad opportunities for disciples of Jesus to interact with God and each other in intimate relationship, we want to use our resources to glorify God and bless people! Give to increase God’s Kingdom
We want those who can and will give to give faithfully, so those that can’t or won’t give can be blessed through the gospel.
Why Do We Give?
As Jesus followers, we give financially towards the building of the Kingdom of God through the Body of Christ. It’s part of a four-thousand year pattern for God’s people! Giving is a symbol of our worship and a reminder of these truths:
- Everything belongs to God
- We trust in His goodness and provision for our lives.
- Giving is a reflection of our faith in God and our belief in the gospel.
- We give gratefully, from a heart of love, just as God has given to us.
- We give what we’re able to give.
- We give as a demonstration that our treasure is in heaven rather than on earth.
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21
